 Mark Beale, Chief Technology Officer
Mark has over 20 years experience in digital communications including web, interactive media, print and digital imaging technology. Prior to joining Ethos, Mark was the co-founder of ImageSet, Inc., Maine's largest digital communications design agency (nearly 50 people) and a pioneer in digital publishing and graphic design. Mark graduated Phi Beta Kappa, summa cum laude with highest honors in 1984, from the University of Maine with a BA in Political Science and a Minor in Marxist Philosophy. He was a National Dean's List Scholar in 1980 and 1981 and is an accredited member of the Collegiate National Honor Society. He attended the University of Maine School of Law before taking a leave of absence to form ImageSet Design in 1987 with his law school classmate, Ted Darling.
Mark is versed in a number of digital information technologies including web design and development, digital video, electronic design and digital imaging technologies as well as internet marketing tactics such as blogs, podcasts and other interactive media. One of his primary tasks at Ethos is to find the successful application of these digital information tools in graphic design and marketing applications and then teach our graphic designers and marketers how to use them to create better visuals or conceptual ideas more efficiently, creatively and cost effectively.
Today, Mark focuses on web-centric media and Internet marketing tactics and is a certified professional search engine specialist, leading Ethos' efforts in search engine optimization, web analytics, pay-per-click advertising, site quality management and other Internet marketing services. He is an Adobe Expert and certified trainer for many Adobe creative software products as well as an accredited Web CEO search engine optimization specialist.
